How It Started...

In March of 2022, the Winchester Firefighters Local 1807 offered a $750 cash scholarship to one graduating George Rogers Clark High School senior planning on a career path in public safety or public health. This scholarship was open to college, technical, and trade school bound students to encourage a career in public service.
The following year, The Engine House Pizza Pub, housed in Winchester’s first firehouse, built in 1885, matched the initial $750 making it possible to offer TWO cash scholarships in 2023! In addition, The Engine House Pizza Pub raised an additional $1000 through the selling of reservations to popular music events to be given away in 2024!
